“In two world wars one million Canadians came to Britain and joined the fight for freedom. From danger shared, our friendship prospers.”, as the inscription from the memorial reveals. This memorial embraces the Maple Leaf symbolism, so particular to the Canadian culture and above all, symbolizes the strong historic bonds between UK and Canada.
