Let us take you on a journey through the streets and snickleways and tell you about the shadows of York.

Note: The tour is rated PG and not recommended for under 8’s.
The stories change from time to time. But they do contain in depth historic details, some of which can be dark, sad or gory.
These may include executions, plague, suicide or any other grim facts.

We will walk outside around part if the Minster.

Shambles is a 15th century street, originally built as a meat market but mow jome to many Harry Potter shops.

WHERE DO WE MEET?:
We meet outside the front of St Michael Le Belfry Church which is between the Minster and Guy Fawkes Inn. High Petergate, York. There is currently some building work taking place at the church so please gather near the entrance to the Guy Fawkes Inn. Do not block the entrance to the Guy Fawkes and please stay off the road for your safety.

TICKETS:
Tickets do not need to printed but you must have proof on your phone or the name of the person whom booked.

COVID RULES:
Please DO NOT TURN UP If you display any symptoms of Covid.

TIME STARTS:
Tours start at the exact time listed. Please arrive 10 mins before the start. Plan your journey. The tour will leave without you at the start time. The guide will not be able to answer calls/texts after the start time. No refunds for missed tours.

PLEASE NOTE:
The guide has the right to refuse anyone admission without refund if persons attending are seen to be displaying unacceptable behaviour. This includes being heavily under the influences of drink or drugs, swearing, talking over the guide, threatening behaviour or any other disruptions. No exceptions!

TOUR ATTIRE:
This is an outdoor walking tour. We do not go inside any buildings so please wrap up warm and wear sensible shoes.

WEATHER:
Tours go on regardless of whether unless of course it is a news worthy storm. So grab your brolly and act like a northerner!

CANCELATION:
If Shadows of York cancels the tour for any reason you will receive a full refund.

SUPERVISION:
All children under 16 must be supervised at all times.

TOILETS:
There are no toilet stops so please plan ahead where possible.

DOGS:
Well behaved dogs are welcome.
