This grand country house surrounded by parkland with mature trees, woodlands and a terraced rose garden amongst other is a Victorian remodelling of the thirteenth century defensive Castle.

This merchant’s house, built around two courtyards, was restored in 1966. Now it is the headquarters of the Kilkenny Archaeological Society. (This attraction on Sunday will be replaced by Medieval Mile Museum)

Butter Slip is the most picturesque of Kilkenny’s narrow medieval corridors. It dates to the early 17th century and it runs underneath two houses, keep in mind this street was dark and cool ideal for storing and selling butter.
