What makes Bath & Stonehenge Tour from Moreton-in-Marsh or Stratford-on-Avon a unique experience ?
We have two pick up points for this tour – the first is at Shakespeare’s Birthplace Coach Terminal in Stratford-upon-Avon at 9.00AM. For avoidance of doubt, we don’t spend any time in Stratford-upon-Avon on this tour, it’s just a pick up and drop off point. The journey from Stratford-upon-Avon to Moreton-in-Marsh is approximately 30 minutes.
We have two pick up points for this tour – after picking up our first passengers in Stratford-upon-Avon at 9.00AM, we then travel to Moreton-in-Marsh rail station to collect our remaining passengers at 9.30AM. For avoidance of doubt, we don’t spend any time in Moreton-in-Marsh on this tour, it’s just a pick up and drop off point, but there are toilets here if you need to ‘go’ before the journey to Bath!
When we have collected all of our passengers, we’ll hit the road and take a beautiful, scenic route through the Cotswolds on our way to Bath. The drive from Moreton-in-Marsh takes around 2 hours, but it will whizz by! En route, your guide will share stories and information about the Cotswolds as you delight in the gorgeous rural landscapes of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
On arriving in the beautiful city of Bath, we’ll make a short stop at the iconic Royal Crescent. Described as the “greatest example of Georgian architecture anywhere in the UK”, this wonderfully impressive crescent of buildings is the perfect introduction to your time in Bath.
Moving from the Royal Crescent to the heart of the city of Bath, we’ll drop you off near the world famous Bath Abbey and Roman Baths. There’s the option to join your guide for a 45 minute walking tour of this UNESCO World Heritage City, and you can enjoy free time to explore and have lunch at your leisure. Lunch is not included – we suggest a grab-and-go lunch so you’ll have time to explore properly, though the fantastic tea rooms and cafes can be hard to resist! When we leave Bath, the journey to Stonehenge takes approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.
Undoubtedly one of the world’s most important prehistoric landmarks, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stonehenge is so much more than just a bunch of old rocks! At the visitor centre, fantastic multimedia displays and a reconstruction of a neolithic village will inspire you with stories of the people who lived here 4000 years ago. There’s a shuttle bus to view the stones, which come alive as you listen to the audioguide. Admission to Stonehenge is NOT included in the price of the tour, but we will pre-book your tickets and collect payment from you on the day to ensure you get the best price – please bring cash or a payment card and budget an extra £12-18 children or £20-28 for adults. If you’re a National Trust or English Heritage member, bring your valid membership card for FREE entry to Stonehenge.
Sit back and relax as your expert guide takes the wheel, chauffeuring you back through the Cotswolds countryside to drop you off, either at Moreton-in-Marsh station, or in Stratford-upon-Avon.

From Stratford-upon-Avon, it takes approx 30 minutes to reach Moreton-in-Marsh, then from Moreton-in-Marsh it takes approx 2 hours to reach Bath, travelling through the beautiful Cotswolds. It takes approx 1 hour to reach Stonehenge from Bath. On the return journey, it takes approx 2 hours to reach Moreton-in-Marsh from Stonehenge through the Cotswolds, and a further 30 minutes to reach Stratford-upon-Avon.
