Deep in the Kent countryside, often called ‘The Garden of England’, his beautifully appointed yet homely country house is yet the scene of some of the most significant meetings and writings in British history .

After exploring Chartwell it’s time to hop back in to your luxury Mercedes with your guide for a short drive through the country lanes, stopping off for lunch at the ‘fighter boys’ favourite Pub ‘The White Hart’.

This famous country Pub is where the Spitfire, Hurricane and Bomber Pilots referred to by Winston Churchill as “The Few” came to relax between scrambles. The pub has memorabilia from the RAF and the pilots of WW2 who came to this traditional Inn.

The famous airfield Biggin Hill is very close by and that will be our next destination after a traditional lunch.

The most famous and important airfield during the Battle of Britain and WW2.

There is a dedicated RAF & Battle of Britain Museum which recently opened and the world famous Heritage Hanger housing the world’s largest airworthy collection of that immortal aircraft, the Spitfire.
These are all either flying examples or are being restored to flying condition. Here you can see them up close as they are serviced and rebuilt, learn about the different versions used during the war and listen to the impressive roar of the famous Merlin engine as they taxi and take off.
You may even decide to book a flight in one of the three dual cockpit aircraft available. Prices available of request.
