Built in 1078 by William the Conqueror, the Tower of London is one of the most infamous buildings in history, known for it’s role as a royal palace, prison, and home to the Crown Jewels.

First opened in 1894, the iconic Tower Bridge is recognised the world over for its distinctive design. On average the bridge raises twice a day to make way for boat traffic on the Thames.

Anchored as a musuem ship in the Pool of London, the HMS Belfast fought in World War II during the Arctic campaign, oversaw the D-Day landings and has seen combat action the world over.

For almost 2000, years this historic bridge has offered Londoner’s a direct route into the city. After surviving numerous fires between the 13th and 17th centuries, the previously inhabited bridge was also used in medieval times to display the heads of traitors.

First founded in 1106, this historic cathedral is where Queen Mary I held heresy trials in the 1550s, was once the property of King Henry VIII, and is the final resting spot for numerous notable burials.

Anchored in St. Mary Overie dock, The Golden Hinde is fully-seaworthy, painstakingly created replica of Sir Francis Drake’s legendary 16th-Century galleon, in which he completed his circumnavigation of the globe back in 1577!

The historic ruins of Winchester Palace were once home to the Bishop of WInchester, and until the 18th century the palace was considered one of the most impressive and important buildings in all of medieval London.

A painstakingly-created reconstruction of the 1599 Globe Theatre, for which Shakespeare wrote his plays, the Globe offers a glimpse back in time to the 16th century, Shakespeare’s time in London and the Elizabethan period.

London’s Millennium Footbridge is a marvel of modern engineering…but when first opened in 2000, initial construction problems led it to it briefly being known as the ‘Wobbly Bridge’ by many Londoners! Now a famous sight on the Thames, it has appeared in various blockbuster movies and countless television programmes.

Standing atop Ludgate Hill, at the City of London’s highest point, the majestic St. Paul’s cathedral is the 17th-century masterpiece of legendary architect Sir Christopher Wren. With perhaps unparalleled architecture and artworks, the cathedral has played host to a large number of historic events – including the funeral of Lord Nelson, the Jubilee celebrations for Queen Victoria, and the 1981 wedding of Prince Charles to Lady Diana Spencer!
