Stop At: Windsor Castle, Castle Hill, Windsor SL4 1PD England
Windsor Castle is nearly 1,000 years old and is one of The Queens favorite residences. See, and be amazed at, the opulent state apartments used by The Queen for state visits. Visit the wonderful St Georges Chapel where Harry and Megan were married last year. Queen Marys dolls house, built in the early 1920’s is not to be missed. It has working electric lights as well as a working plumbing system, real wine in the glasses and a scaled down set of the Crown Jewels.
Your guide will not accompany you inside Windsor Castle as they have strict rules on guiding in the castle. However, your entrance fee does include a very good audio guide for the castle.
The town of Windsor is also a very good place to stop for lunch with a wide variety of pubs, restaurants and sandwich shops.

Stop At: Hampton Court Palace, A308, East Molesey KT8 9AU England
Hampton Court Palace is home to some of the best Tudor buildings in the UK.
Here your guide will take you on a tour of the Tudor kitchens that Henry Vlll had enlarged for his own visits with up to 800 people accompanying him. Then through the corridors to the great Tudor hall where dining took place with the King at the top table. The hall has magnificent tapestries covering the walls and a hammer beam roof that will amaze you. While your here why not let your guide take your picture as you sit at the kings table in the kings chair (you can feel the power already). Next you will continue through the palace to The Chapel Royal. See where the king and Queen sat separately for the services. After you have seen the Tudor palace your guide will take you to the newer Baroque style palace built for William lll and Mary ll. Here your guide will take you through the Kings state apartments and the Kings private apartments telling you little bits of history about the palace as you wonder through.
The gardens at Hampton Court are not to be missed. As well as the wonderful tree lined paths and the wonderful flower displays the gardens are also home to the worlds longest grape vine.
Time permitting why don’t you see if you can find you way out of the maze.
