This Battle of Britain tour will take your away from your Central London by car to the two pivotal sites and visit a memorial to some of the forgotten heroes of the Battle of Britain.

The Battle of Britain Bunker is where the actual Battle of Britain was co-ordinated with the famous map room where the planes were plotted. The aerial component of D-Day was also managed from here. An active RAF base from WW1 to the 21st Century with the museum only opened in 2017.

Then we will visit the majestic Polish War Memorial and learn of the role these brave pilots played in the Battle of Britain.

Finally we will visit Bentley Priory which was the headquarters of Fighter Command . A unique setting that was earlier a Royal Palace and again used by the RAF until just a few years ago.

Stop At: Polish Air Force Memorial, Western Ave, Ruislip HA4 6QX, UK

We will visit the magnificent memorial to the Polish pilots who fled to Britain, joined the RAF and who lost their lives fighting for our freedom.

Stop At: Battle of Britain Bunker, Wren Ave, Uxbridge UB10 0GG, UK

Here we will visit the famous Battke of Britain bunker with its famous map and indicator boards, From here, Churchill and the Air Marshall’s oversaw the Battke of Britain,

After hearing how life was like in the bunker and seeing how the Battke was overseen, we will visit the adjoining museum.

We will finish the tour by visiting the former home of Fighter Command where Air Chief Marshal Dowding where he took on the task of building up the RAF to fight off invasion and emerge beaten but victorious from The Battle of Britain.

There is no bunker here but Fighter Command was housed in a former Royal Palace that was an active RAF base into the 21st Century.  The museum rooms and elegant surroundings make for a great way to end the tour, perhaps with a drink or light snack at the cafe on the high ground overlooking London.
