Built to impress in the 15th century, Bunratty Castle is one of the most splendid in Ireland. It’s bold outline dominates the skyline as you pass.

Stop At: Ennis, Ennis, County Clare

Ennis or ‘Inis’ in Irish meaning ‘Island.’ The name relates to an island formed between 2 courses of the River Fergus on which the Franciscan Friary was built in the 13th century.

This exceptionally well preserved medieval stone ringfort is clearly visible from the road as we pass.

Stop At: Poulnabrone Dolmen, R480 Ireland

Our first scheduled stop this morning. A dolmen consists of three standing stones on which a huge capstone is placed. Poulnabrone Dolmen was constructed by Neolithic farmers over 5,500 years ago and is one of the Burren’s most iconic landmarks.

Stop At: Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre, Liscannor Ireland

Once at the Cliffs of Moher, our driver / guide will present you with your entry ticket to the visitors centre. You have 2 hours to explore all the cliffs have to offer.

A magnificent coastal village situated at the end of Liscannor Bay.

Stop At: Lahinch, Lahinch, County Clare

Nestled at the head of Liscannor Bay beside a 2 km long beach of golden sand, Lahinch attracts surfing and canoeing enthusiasts from all over the world. There are multiple food outlets here for lunch.

Ennistymon is a country market town. The River Inagh, with it’s small rapids known as the Cascades, runs through the town.
