Stop At: Moreton-in-Marsh, Moreton-in-Marsh, Cotswolds, England

Your Brewery & Cotswolds Pub Tour starts with a pick-up from Moreton-in-Marsh rail station. If you’re staying in Moreton-in-Marsh, the station is just a few minutes’ walk from all of the accommodation providers in the town. Alternatively, make it a day trip from London or Oxford – there are direct trains from London Paddington, via Oxford, to Moreton-in-Marsh.
NB: Moreton-in-Marsh is a pick-up/drop-off point, we do not spend time here on the tour.

Stop At: Purity Brewing Company, Upper Spernall Farm, The Brewery, Great Alne B49 6JF England

Established in 2005 by two beer-loving friends, Purity Brewing Co. is a thriving local craft beer producer located on a working farm. Its range of ales and lagers can now be found all over the country. Here you’ll enjoy a fascinating 90 minute tour of this working brewery, to include plenty of time to sample a pint or two of their award-winning ales! The on-site brewery shop is well worth a visit too, to take home some of your new discoveries!

Stop At: National Trust – The Fleece Inn, The Cross, Bretforton, Evesham WR11 7JE, UK

Crossing the county border into Worcestershire, it’s a half-hour drive to our next stop: The Fleece Inn. Located on the edge of the Cotswolds in the pretty village of Bretforton, this historic and atmospheric pub was originally built in the 15th Century, and was gifted to The National Trust in 1977 to continue its preservation.

While at The Fleece, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch and a drink (a Purity beer, or a non-alcoholic drink if you prefer). You’ll also learn about the history and stories of this fascinating building.

Stop At: Chipping Campden, Chipping Campden, Cotswolds, England

Leaving The Fleece Inn, it’s a 10–15 minute drive to our next stop – the charming Cotswolds “wool town” of Chipping Campden.

Here you’ll have just over an hour of free time. If you’re keen to continue your ale trail, you’ll be pleased to know that Chipping Campden is home to no less than 5 lovely pubs! Or, if you’ve had enough beer for now, you can explore Chipping Campden’s historic churches, fabulous independent shops and tea rooms, pretty Cotswolds stone buildings and thatched cottages. We’ll provide you with a map and recommendations for some of our favourite spots!

Stop At: Ebrington, Ebrington, Cotswolds, England

The village of Ebrington is just a few minutes away from Chipping Campden. It may be tiny, but it’s very pretty, and is home to the famous Ebrington Arms, run by landlords Claire and Jim Alexander.

This wonderful pub has been rated the best in the UK and regularly scoops awards – not only for its warm welcome, fantastic food, beautiful beer garden and homely B&B accommodation, but also for their very own locally brewed ales! You just have to have a pint of Yubby while you’re here!
