The deep sea fishing off Ireland’s west coast is some of the finest in Europe, where large runs of tuna, mackerel, and sharks are found in the offshore waters. All levels of fishermen, from novice to expert, are welcome aboard to fish, and create lasting memories while hauling aboard over a dozen species of fish.

Leaving from the small seaside village of Cleggan you will embark on a days fishing in and around the Connemara Islands and reefs. You will be out the whole day so remember to bring refreshments and food. Don’t forget your rain proof gear.

Meet time: As indicated on the ticket above. Please arrive half an hour before the time.
Meet point: Cleggan Quay, Cleggan village, Co Galway – meet Skipper on the pier and discuss the day’s activity.

Direction from Galway (travel duration: one and a half to two hours). Take the N59 from Galway City, direction Oughterard/Clifden. Travel direction Clifden for approx. 75km, first through villages of Moycullen, then Oughterard and onward passing through the crossroads of Maam Cross, then through Recess and onto Clifden. Continue onto Cleggan along the N59 following the signs.
From Clifden: Take N59 out of Clifden direction Westport/Letterfrack. Travel approx. 5kms and veer left at sign to Cleggan/Inishbofin. Travel approx. 6km to Cleggan village. Park vehicle in any one of the car parks in Cleggan and proceed down to the pier keeping an eye out for a boat called Blue Water. Travel time from Clifden approx. 20 minutes.

What to bring: Food for the day, flask with hot drink, sun glasses, sun block and own life jacket.
What to wear: Appropriate fishing attire and foot wear. If the weather is wet, a change of clothing and towel are recommended for afterwards. Make sure you have warm clothing to hand.
