Elena has visited over 40 countries and has fascinating stories to share. Learn to cook a healthy, gourmet meal that combines Romanian and local Irish cuisine. Your menu includes dishes such as traditional Irish beef stew cooked in Guinness with brown bread, Romanian beetroot soup with lovage and creme fraiche, and grilled sea bass on a bed of creamy mash and garlic spinach served with beer or wine. You will end your meal with a dessert like upside-down mixed berry cake and fresh cream.
On days they are available, Elena’s partner Patrick and their eight-year-old daughter, Nadia will join you at the dining table for an immersive cultural dining experience!

Elena is a Romanian ex-scientist turned interior designer with an immense love for food and travel! She has visited more than 40 countries and has some fascinating stories to share. When she travels one of her favourite things is to sample the most unusual of the local foods (from snails and frog legs in France to snake in Vietnam or crocodile tails and green ants in Australia!).
Elena’s mother is a great cook and she hopes to have inherited her cooking skills! Elena lives in a modern home on the shore of the Irish Sea in Skerries (a former fishing village/holiday town), with beautiful sea views and stunning sunsets! She lives with her family, partner Patrick and 7 year old daughter, Nadia, who will join the experience on days they are available.
