A ring fort built c. 1700 BC

Stop At: O’Doherty’s Keep & Buncrana Castle, Cahir o’Doherty Avenue, Buncrana Ireland
A 15th century Norman tower house that was home to Cahir O’Doherty, the last chieftain of Inishowen and played a significant part to the history of Inishowen and Ulster as a whole.

Stop At: Fort Dunree Military Museum, Buncrana Ireland
A visit to Fort Dunree will include a video film presentation in the audio-visual theatre, access to museum displays which fully demonstrate life at Fort Dunree, showing its vital role in coastal defense, neutrality protection and a range of coastal artillery.
The underground bunkers also house a collection of artifacts that give meaning and insight into the day to day operation of the Fort.
