This kayak tour offers a unique opportunity to interact with wild seals in their natural environment without disturbing them. It’s also a chance to experience historic Dalkey island and all a stone’s throw from the capital city.
Itinerary
After we meet you, we give you a wetsuit and all the equipment and we show you how to use it.
You need to be able to swim to do this kayak tour. You don’t need to be a champion swimmer but you need to be happy floating in the water wearing a buoyancy aid in the event of a capsize.
Next, we get on the water in historic Bullock Harbour and go kayaking along the stunning Dalkey coastline to Dalkey Island.
You will be treated to stunning views of Dublin Bay which is a UNESCO biosphere.
Then we will encounter the friendly Dalkey island seals. They will play around our kayaks as we paddle past them. We will also see the wonderful birdlife.
A scenic stroll on Dalkey island completes the tour whereupon we kayak back to Bullock Harbour
