A small moorland habitat whose residents in the prison make up over a quarter of the total population. It may not be the prettiest but mention the “Prince of Wales”, a famous brewery and a mad axeman and you get an understanding of its diversity and intrigue.

Stop At: Foggintor Quarry, Princetown, Dartmoor National Park England
The largest of the three main quarries on Dartmoor and without doubt the most spectacular. On first viewing you will be taken aback by its strange beauty, its stillness and the myths and legends harboured within it. The walk to and from the quarry is equal to the destination and fulfilling in itself.
